Frame Construction: The Unseen Strength

The foundation of any great trailer is its frame. We construct our car haulers with heavy-duty tube steel mainframes, not lighter-duty C-channel. This provides superior rigidity and resistance to twisting and flexing under the heavy, concentrated load of a vehicle. This robust construction ensures the trailer pulls straight and true and will stand up to years of demanding use.

Axles and Suspension: A Smooth, Stable Ride

A car’s weight requires a robust running gear system. Here’s what matters:

• Tandem Axles: We use a dual-axle configuration as a standard for all car haulers. This provides critical stability on the highway, increases braking capacity, and offers a layer of redundancy for safety.

• Torsion vs. Leaf Spring: While traditional leaf spring axles are reliable, we recommend upgrading to torsion axles. Each wheel on a torsion system is independently suspended, providing a much smoother ride with less vibration. For valuable classic cars or sensitive race cars, a torsion suspension is the superior choice for protecting your vehicle during transport.

Loading & Unloading: The Critical Geometry

Getting a vehicle into and out of a trailer is the most frequent point of frustration or damage. We solve this with two essential features:

• The Beaver Tail: This angled rear section of the trailer floor is the single most important feature for a car hauler. It dramatically reduces the loading angle, preventing the front spoiler and undercarriage of low-clearance vehicles from scraping on the ramp door.

• Reinforced Ramp Door: Our heavy-duty ramp doors are built to handle the weight of a vehicle and feature a spring-assist mechanism for easy lifting. We also include an integrated ramp flap extension to create a smooth, gap-free transition from the ground to the trailer.
